The Booth Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, guests, and property at The Century Plaza. This role requires a professional and courteous demeanor, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various security situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Access Control:
- Monitor and control access to the building from the security booth.
- Verify the identity of residents, visitors, and delivery personnel.
- Maintain a log of all visitors, contractors, and service providers entering the premises.
Surveillance:
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems for any unusual activity.
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and report any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including fire, medical, and security incidents.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services when necessary.
- Assist in evacuations and provide clear instructions to residents during emergencies.
Customer Service:
- Greet residents and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Provide information and assistance as needed.
- Handle resident complaints and concerns related to security in a courteous manner.
Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and maintenance issues.
- Prepare and submit incident reports to the Security Supervisor or Building Manager.
- Participate in regular security meetings and provide input on security improvements.
Patrol Duties:
- Conduct periodic foot patrols of the building's interior and exterior.
- Check all entry points, parking areas, and common spaces to ensure they are secure.
- Report any maintenance issues such as broken locks, lighting problems, or hazards.
Qualifications:
Certifications:
- Security Guard license/certification as required by local law.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations effectively.
- Basic computer skills for operating surveillance equipment and writing reports.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Physical ability to respond to emergencies quickly, including running and lifting.
