Security Officer (Garage & Lobby) – Premier Downtown Property

Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Downtown)

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

• Wednesday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Garage Operations)
• Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Lobby Operations)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly professional, experienced Security Officer for one of our premier, high-end accounts located in Downtown Houston.

This is a high-visibility, high-expectation position that requires strict adherence to professional standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate confidently in both patrol and customer-facing environments.

Only candidates who demonstrate consistent professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication will be considered.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and consistent patrols of the parking garage, identifying and addressing safety or security concerns
• Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter unwanted activity and enforce property standards
• Provide lobby/front desk coverage during overnight weekend shifts
• Control access to the property, ensuring all procedures are followed without exception
• Interact with tenants, guests, and vendors in a professional and controlled manner
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies with sound judgment and composure
• Enforce all site policies, procedures, and post orders consistently and without bias
• Complete detailed, accurate, and timely Daily Activity Reports and incident reports
• Communicate effectively with property management and internal leadership regarding any issues or concerns

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional security experience (high-rise, commercial, or Class A environment)
• Must reside within 20 miles of ZIP code 77002
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and engaged throughout the entire shift

• Clean, pressed uniform at all times
• Professional grooming and appearance
• Clear, confident, and respectful communication
• Consistent enforcement of rules and procedures
• Equal treatment of all tenants, guests, and staff

Failure to meet these standards will result in removal from the position.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in luxury residential or Class A office environments
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV, and reporting software
• Military or law enforcement background
