Allstate Security is hiring dependable and experienced Vehicle Patrol Drivers for the Gray Patrol assignment in San Diego. We currently have two available overnight schedules offering consistent weekly hours.

This position is ideal for security professionals who enjoy working independently, are comfortable conducting overnight vehicle patrols, and take pride in maintaining the safety and security of assigned properties.

Pay & Available Schedules

Pay Rate: $22.85 per hour

Schedule 1 – Weekend Overnight Patrol (36 Hours Per Week)

• Friday: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM Saturday (13 hours)
• Saturday: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM Sunday (13 hours)
• Sunday: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM Monday (10 hours)
• Total: 36 hours per week

Schedule 2 – Weekend Overnight Patrol (20.5 Hours Per Week)

• Saturday: 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM Sunday (11 hours)
• Sunday: 8:00 PM – 5:30 AM Monday (9.5 hours)
• Total: 20.5 hours per week

Additional Position Details

• Location: San Diego, CA, with travel between assigned patrol locations.
• Available Positions: Two separate openings, one for each schedule.
• Reports To: Cesar Nunez, Account Manager.
• Applicants only need to be available for their preferred schedule.

What You Will Do

• Safely operate a company patrol vehicle between assigned locations.
• Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols and property inspections.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• Complete assigned lock and unlock duties in accordance with site post orders.
• Maintain accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation.
• Respond professionally to security-related incidents and communicate with the operations team.
• Follow assigned patrol routes and complete all required checkpoints.
• Maintain professional conduct, situational awareness, and reliable attendance throughout overnight shifts.

Requirements

• Current and valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Must be at least 25 years old to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Clean driving record with no DUIs or moving violations within the past five years.
• Must provide a current DMV driving record.
• 2–3 years of vehicle patrol experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow post orders, company policies, and established patrol procedures.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Comfortable using smartphones, GPS systems, and security reporting applications.
• Dependable attendance and availability to work all assigned shifts, including overnight hours and weekends.
