United Protective Services is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Access Control Security Officers for a gated residential community in Katy, Texas.
This position is primarily responsible for access control, resident and visitor verification, vehicle documentation, gate operations, incident reporting, and maintaining a professional security presence at the community entrance.
Candidates must be attentive, comfortable communicating with residents and visitors, capable of following detailed access-control procedures, and able to remain at the assigned post for the duration of the shift.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist residents, visitors, vendors, and contractors professionally.
- Verify identification and resident authorization before granting access.
- Enter required visitor and vehicle information into the Gate Sentry system.
- Review resident notes and access restrictions before approving entry.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
- Restrict unauthorized access to the community and amenities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Professionally greet and process residents, visitors, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel.
- Verify identification, resident authorization, and access instructions before granting entry.
- Enter required guest, contractor, and vehicle information into the Gate Sentry system.
- Enforce visitor and amenity access restrictions, including overnight procedures.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian activity and document property or gate damage.
- Report gate malfunctions, outages, equipment failures, lighting issues, and maintenance concerns.
- Secure and reopen designated community gates as required.
- Complete accurate Incident and Maintenance Reports before the end of the shift.
- Maintain site equipment, guardhouse cleanliness, and professional post standards.
- Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved to ensure continuous coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Texas security credentials required for the assignment.
- Previous security experience required.
- Previous lead officer, supervisor, residential security, concierge, gate attendant, or access-control experience strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer-service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to operate computers, tablets, smartphones, and electronic access-control systems.
- Ability to accurately document incidents and security activity.
- Ability to understand and consistently enforce written post orders.
- Reliable transportation.
