Security Director – Customer Service-Focused Property | DTLA

Guard-Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Security Director for a high-profile professional property in Downtown Los Angeles.

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk security management position.

We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands that great security and great customer service go together. This property has regular interaction with members, employees, executives, visitors, vendors, and building management, so professionalism, communication, discretion, and follow-through are extremely important.

The right person will know how to lead a security team while creating a welcoming, professional environment.

Schedule & Pay

Monday – Friday6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week

$24.00 – $26.00 per hour

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

• A strong, hands-on security leader
• Exceptionally customer service-oriented
• Professional and polished with guests and clients
• A proactive communicator who keeps management informed
• Comfortable coaching, training, and holding officers accountable
• Organized and able to stay on top of schedules, reports, incidents, and daily operations
• Calm and professional when handling difficult situations
• Comfortable working in an environment where discretion and confidentiality matter
• Able to build positive relationships with the security team and client management
• Someone who takes ownership and follows through

Responsibilities Include:

• Overseeing day-to-day security operations
• Leading, training, coaching, and supporting the security team
• Maintaining a strong customer service and hospitality standard
• Ensuring officers are professional, engaged, and following post orders
• Working closely with property and client management
• Managing access control, visitors, vendors, and building activity
• Responding to incidents and ensuring proper documentation and follow-up
• Conducting site inspections and maintaining a visible leadership presence
• Communicating important information between officers, management, and the client

Requirements

• Active California Guard Card
• Prior security leadership experience required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong written incident-reporting skills
• Comfortable with computers, email, CCTV, and access-control systems
• Dependable transportation and consistent attendance
• Experience in a Class A commercial, corporate, entertainment, hospitality, or high-profile environment strongly preferred
