Join Our Team – Rover Security Officer (Commercial Property)

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and highly motivated Rover Security Officer to join our team at a busy commercial property.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff. The Rover Officer will be responsible for conducting continuous patrols throughout the property, maintaining a strong security presence, deterring criminal activity, preventing unauthorized access, and addressing issues involving trespassers, loiterers, and vagrants.

The ideal candidate is proactive, observant, professional, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of visibility throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and thorough patrols of the property, including parking lots, exterior perimeters, common areas, and tenant spaces as authorized
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity, vandalism, theft, trespassing, and other unwanted behavior
• Identify and address issues involving loiterers, vagrants, unauthorized individuals, and suspicious activity
• Monitor the property for safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and security vulnerabilities
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and service requests
• Enforce property rules, regulations, and security procedures
• Observe and report suspicious activity, criminal behavior, and policy violations
• Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and other required documentation
• Communicate effectively with property management, tenants, vendors, visitors, and company leadership
• Follow all site-specific post orders, security procedures, and company policies

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional security experience (REQUIRED)
• Must reside within 20 miles of ZIP code 77040
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain alert and observant throughout the entire shift
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to professionally de-escalate confrontational situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting patrols at commercial, retail, mixed-use, industrial, or office properties
• Experience dealing with trespassers, loiterers, and vagrancy-related issues
• Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills
