United Protective Services is seeking a professional, customer-service-oriented Security Officer for a high-visibility apartment community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with residents, maintaining a strong security presence, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment.

• Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Thursday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Friday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

As a Security Officer, you will serve as a visible presence throughout the property while conducting patrols, monitoring activity, and assisting residents and visitors. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the property
• Check and secure emergency exits, stairwells, and common areas
• Patrol residential floors and report any safety or security concerns
• Monitor visitor parking areas and document violations or suspicious activity
• Serve as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and policy violations
• Interact professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and property staff
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports as required
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, or emergencies
• Respond appropriately to incidents and notify management or emergency services when necessary

Qualifications

• Active Texas Security License (or ability to obtain one)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable transportation and attendance
• Ability to walk patrols for extended periods and climb stairs
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
