DK Security is looking for a Security Operations Manager to lead assigned security operations with professionalism, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through. This hands-on management role oversees assigned client sites, supports site supervisors and security officers, maintains staffing stability, responds to field issues, and helps ensure DK Security’s service standards are met.
Compensation: $47,000/year.
Schedule: Primarily business hours, with flexibility required for operational needs, client needs, staffing issues, emergencies, and after-hours incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily performance, staffing, and service quality for assigned DK Security contracts.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned clients.
- Oversee site supervisors, shift supervisors, lead officers, and security officers.
- Conduct site visits and support contract operations.
- Address client service concerns, employee concerns, and field issues.
- Coach employees and support professional conduct, attendance, reporting, and site performance.
- Monitor staffing needs, coverage gaps, call-offs, and emergency staffing concerns.
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Recruiting, Scheduling, Payroll, the Command Center, and DK leadership.
- Ensure site-specific training is completed and post orders and procedures remain current.
- Respond to significant incidents, emergencies, complaints, and service concerns.
- Review reports, statements, logs, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Address performance and conduct concerns through coaching, documentation, corrective action, and HR coordination.
- Maintain accurate operational records, track site needs, follow up on open items, and protect confidential information.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a current valid Michigan CPL or LEOSA credential.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass DK Security’s background screening requirements.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, web-based systems, and basic office technology.
- Must be able to write clear and factual reports, emails, and documentation.
- Must be able to respond calmly to urgent issues, employee concerns, client complaints, and operational disruptions.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to work independently while communicating with leadership and support departments.
- Must be able to travel to assigned client sites as needed.
- Prior experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, corrections, emergency services, corporate security, site supervision, field management, employee supervision, scheduling, staffing, client account management, post orders, incident reporting, access control, patrol procedures, emergency response, employee coaching, documentation, fact-finding, or internal investigations is preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification, is preferred.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move quickly, including navigating stairs, in any weather conditions, for an 8-12 hour shift.
- Must be able to pass a physical agility test including a 1.5 mile run in 17.5 minutes and 19 push-ups in 2 minutes.
- Strong judgment, practical decision-making, clear communication, attention to detail, professional conflict management, accurate documentation, consistent policy application, and a professional field presence are required.
