SSC is seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager, working for our client in a Healthcare setting in lower Fairfield County, to lead daily security operations and support a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, employees, and medical staff. This leadership role oversees security personnel, access control programs, emergency preparedness initiatives, and regulatory compliance across multiple healthcare locations.

What You'll Do
- Provide operational oversight for security programs across all client locations.
- Supervise, coach, train, and support Security Officers and department personnel.
- Manage staff scheduling, onboarding, performance evaluations, and training compliance.
- Support security policy development, implementation, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate access control, identification systems, and related security technologies.
- Respond to and manage emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, severe weather events, and other safety concerns.
- Investigate and document security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
- Assist with Environment of Care inspections, emergency preparedness programs, disaster drills, and corrective action planning.
- Collaborate with leadership, clinical departments, facilities teams, and external public safety agencies.
- Assist with departmental budgeting, purchasing activities, and vendor oversight.
- Support loss prevention initiatives and organizational asset protection efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of security or safety operations experience, preferably in healthcare;
OR
- Associate degree and at least five (5) years of progressive healthcare security and safety experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise software systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
Preferred
- Prior supervisory or management experience..
- Knowledge of emergency management, Environment of Care, or Joint Commission standards.
- Familiarity with access control systems and security technologies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
