Job Overview
We are seeking a highly professional and dependable Rover Security Officer to support security operations at a professional office environment.
This is a high-visibility position that requires the officer to patrol the property throughout the day using a company-provided golf cart, maintain a strong security presence, and provide support to other security personnel. The Rover Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the property while delivering exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors.
In addition to patrol responsibilities, the Rover Officer will provide lunch and break relief for other officers and assist with day-to-day security operations as needed.
Only candidates who demonstrate a polished, professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and conduct will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous patrols of the property using a company-provided golf cart
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the site
- Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and emergency situations as needed
- Provide lunch and break relief coverage for security personnel
- Assist tenants, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with site personnel and management
- Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and other required documentation
- Follow all site-specific procedures, post orders, and security protocols
Minimum Requirements (Strictly Enforced)
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Minimum 1 year of professional security experience (REQUIRED)
- Valid driver's license (REQUIRED)
- Clean driving record preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Must reside within 20 miles of ZIP code 77845
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency required, including the ability to use Microsoft Teams and Smartsheet
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Ability to safely operate a golf cart throughout the workday
- Ability to remain attentive, engaged, and proactive throughout the entire shift
Preferred Experience
- Experience in rover, patrol, or mobile security positions
- Experience in corporate or professional office environments
- Familiarity with visitor management, access control systems, and reporting software
