Clinic Security Officer
Location: Chicago, IL (Skyway)
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Saturday/Monday/Wednesday - 3:30 am -5:30 pm
Pay Rate: $16.60 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure clinic access points to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the facility to identify and address potential security or safety concerns.
- Prevent unauthorized access and enforce clinic security policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, disturbances, or safety concerns.
- Maintain a visible security presence to help deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
- Provide courteous assistance and support to patients, visitors, and clinic personnel.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with clinic management and emergency responders when necessary.
- Ensure all assigned areas remain secure and properly monitored throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Active Illinois PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) required.
- Completion of a 20-Hour Unarmed Security Training Course required.
- Previous security experience required; experience in a medical clinic, healthcare facility, or hospital setting is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective during stressful or emergency situations.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass all required background screening requirements.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.
