Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Security Officer to provide security services for a gated residential community. The Security Officer will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, visitors, vendors, and property.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional while working in a residential community setting.

Responsibilities

The Security Officer will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and controlling access at the gated community entrance
• Greeting residents, guests, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner
• Verifying visitor authorization and following community access procedures
• Conducting routine patrols throughout the residential community
• Observing and reporting suspicious activity, safety concerns, or property issues
• Responding to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns as needed
• Completing daily activity reports and incident reports accurately
• Enforcing community rules, post orders, and security procedures professionally
• Maintaining a visible security presence during assigned shift hours
• Communicating with supervisors, management, residents, and emergency personnel when necessary

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous security experience preferred, but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to remain alert, professional, and dependable throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Basic report-writing skills
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to follow post orders, policies, and procedures
• Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
