Position Summary:

The Security Officer provides a professional and highly visible presence at a luxury retail location. The primary objective is to maintain a safe environment while deterring theft and disruptive behavior through professionalism, awareness, and customer engagement. This is a front-of-store, observe-and-report position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong, visible presence at the front entrance
• Greet and engage customers in a professional manner
• Monitor store activity and observe for suspicious behavior
• Deter theft through presence and customer-service-based engagement
• Report all incidents, irregularities, and concerns promptly
• Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports as required
• Communicate effectively with store staff and management

Loss Prevention Guidelines:

• Observe and report only
• Do not detain, pursue, or physically engage with suspected individuals
• Maintain professionalism and avoid confrontation at all times

Uniform Requirements:

• Black suit
• White button-down shirt
• Black tie
• Black dress shoes
• Clean, professional appearance required at all times

Requirements:

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Experience:

• Retail security or luxury retail environment experience
• Customer-facing or hospitality background

Work Environment:

High-traffic retail setting requiring constant visibility, professionalism, and interaction with customers and store personnel.
