Prosegur Security is looking to fill multiple Armed Security Officers positions that are customer service driven for one of our networks in the Rochester, NY area with a strong work ethic and quality customer service skills. We are looking for Security professionals that want to grow and develop professionally in our organization. 

Weekly Pay   

Hourly Rate: $25.00 + $5.55

Position 1: Friday & Saturday 4pm - 12am (16 hours)

Position 2: Friday & Saturday 12am - 8am (16 hours)

Position 3: Tuesday - Saturday 4pm - 12am (40 hours)

Responsibilities:    

• Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post    

• Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle    

• Enforce company and client policies    

• Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch    

• Respond to incidents in a quick manner    

• Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post    

• One will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life    

• Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence    

• Officers will remain on the post and wait until they have proper relief    

• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner    

• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity    

• Secure facility and designated areas    

• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents    

Qualifications:   

 • Must be at least 21 years of age   

 • Must possess Armed Security License   

 • 3-5+ years of Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background preferred   

• High school diploma or GED equivalent    

• Must have your own weapon   

• Must have excellent written and communication skills    

• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior    

Additional Requirements:   

Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations.   

• New York State Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol   

• Armed Security Officer Training Requalification (with the exception of “Exempt” Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS
