Security Officer Floater to Permanent – On-Call Coverage

Weekdays & Weekends | Mornings, Evenings, and Overnights

We are seeking professional, dependable Security Floater Officers to support multiple high-profile commercial properties. This position requires a high level of flexibility, reliability, and professionalism, as assignments are based on operational needs and coverage demands.

As a Floater Officer, you will serve as part of our rapid-response coverage team, providing support for call-offs, vacancies, special assignments, and emergencies. This role is best suited for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and able to meet variable scheduling requirements.

Important Scheduling Notice

Availability is a condition of employment for this position. Scheduling is not guaranteed and is based on business needs, officer availability, and performance. Officers who are unable or unwilling to meet required availability or who decline offered assignments may experience limited scheduling or may not be eligible for continued assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide security presence at various client locations within the San Antonio area
• Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Maintain detailed daily activity and incident reports
• Enforce site rules and regulations professionally and respectfully
• Support standing guard and patrol operations as directed
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and communicate with dispatch and supervisors
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills with clients and visitors

Requirements

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work outdoors if required
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of security experience
• Prior experience as a floater or field support officer
• Familiarity with report-writing and radio communication procedures
