PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Security Site Supervisor for DK Security your duties include supervision and leadership of the assigned staff at your site. Most sites we provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These openings are working-Supervisor type roles where your shifts would be performing the duties of an Officer in addition to your supervisory responsibilities.
Some of the responsibilities would include:
- Officer Duties - Complete the normal duties/tasks as needed such as Access Control, Patrolling, Camera Monitoring, etc.
- Training - Train and coach officers in the duties required at your site.
- Scheduling - Schedule Officers for coverage of the site and ensure all shifts are properly filled.
- Coverage - Communicate with team and on-call officers to fill any call-offs. The Supervisor or Operations Manager would go in if no other coverage found.
SUCCESS as a Security Site Supervisor at DK Security will look like:
- Reliability - Report for your shift on time, ensure full coverage of staff, submit documentation in a timely manner.
- Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and coaching/disciplining your Officers.
- Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
- Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
LOCATION: Acrisure Amphitheater - Grand Rapids MI
CURRENT OPENINGS:
- Primary Shift: 7 AM - 3 PM (Seasonal)
- On Call 24/7 - Respond to Officer's calling for guidance or call-offs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
