Summary:

Security Escort will provide escort support for construction contractors, individuals, and visitors who do not have the appropriate security clearances and/or access authorization within designed secure areas at the National Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC), while ensuring security regulations are enforced. The nature of this assignment requires flexible schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all on-site personnel for compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Maintain Government-furnished computerized visitor databases as required.
• Conduct random inspections of visitors, contractors, and employees to ensure prohibited items are not brought in or removed without proper approval.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), by remaining in the designated work area(s).
• Actively monitor the movement and activities of non-cleared personnel to ensure no breach of security protocols occurs.
• Comply with all NMIC policies regarding entry to the installation, vehicle access, and parking standards, contingency operations compliance, and photography prohibitions. 
• Report any actual or suspected breach of security protocol or accidents, injuries, or safety-related issues per SOP. 
• Safeguard company and the Government provided equipment, information, and property for individual use. 
• Escorts must comply with all federal, state, and local fire, safety, and environmental regulations. Escorts are expected to be aware of safety issues and plans. They are also expected to recommend improvements to existing safety plans and surveillance activities.
• Escorts are responsible for safeguarding all Government property and information and ensuring Government facilities, equipment, and materials are secured.

Required Qualifications:

• Requires an Active TS (with SCI eligibility) or existing TS/SCI clearance.   
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizen
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Must attend NMIC indoctrination session before final assignment.
• Completed all required training successfully.
• Stand or sit for long periods.
• Work outdoors regardless of weather conditions or temperature.
• Walk long distances as required.
• Personal cell phone use within the secure building is strictly prohibited.
• Speak, read, and write fluent English.
