This is a Union Lead role, Local 26 Union benefits are available with this position. Prosegur Security is looking a Senior Unarmed Security Officer in the Bloomington area with a wide knowledge base of various Security positions. The Security Professional is expected to have strong observational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to various security situations. This role will be a Lead position, with an expectation of well-rounded security knowledge. Prosegur is one of the largest security providers in the world. We are looking for Security professionals that want to grow and develop professionally in our organization.     

Requirements:    

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record check.
• Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
• Help patrol our client’s facilities and prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or other infractions before they occur. Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property.
• The Lead Security Officer will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer.
• The Lead Security Officer will act as a liaison between the Account Manager, and professional security officers.

Shifts:  

Monday - Tuesday: 2200 - 0600  

Friday - Sunday: 1400 - 2200  

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:     

• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions. 
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills. 
• Post dress code may vary from a suit and tie, or tactical

Qualifications we are looking for:     

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Driver's License
• Clean driving record and valid driver license
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures

Physical Requirements:    

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:   

Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)  

Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes  

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions  

Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols  

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
