Job Skills/Requirements

SCOPE: As a Uniform Security Officer at DK Security, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's property and personnel. You will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.

SCHEDULE:

• 1st shift
• Thursday/Friday 8:30AM-5PM
• Every other Wednesdays 8:30AM-5PM

COMPENSATION: 

• Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour

LOCATION: Ann Arbor, MI

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will serve as a Front Desk agent, ensuring all visitors to the building are properly checked in and escorted through the building while providing outstanding customer service.
• Will provide a visual deterrence against any criminal or otherwise unauthorized activity.
• Conduct hourly foot patrol of interior and exterior to check entrances, doors, and windows are locked and secured.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
• Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities.
• May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations.
• Must follow site specific post guidelines.
• Will report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair, when applicable.
• Document daily activities and incident reports.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must be willing to become CPR/1^st Aide/AED Certified.
• Physical Requirements:
• • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
  • Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• • Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
  • Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
  • No other major violations in the last 3 years.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
