Responsibilities:    

• Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post    

• Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle    

• Enforce company and client policies    

• Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch    

• Respond to incidents in a quick manner    

• Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post    

• One will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life    

• Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence    

• Officers will remain on the post and wait until they have proper relief    

• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner    

• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity    

• Secure facility and designated areas    

• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents    

Qualifications:   

 • Must be at least 21 years of age   

 • Must possess Armed Security License   

 • 10+ years of Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background preferred   

• High school diploma or GED equivalent    

• Must have your own 9mm Weapon   

• Must have excellent written and communication skills    

• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior    

Additional Requirements:   

Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations.   

• New York State Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol   

• Armed Security Officer Training Requalification (with the exception of “Exempt” Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing):   

Weekly Pay   

Hourly Rate: $25.00
