Job Title: Closed Patrol Security Officer
Position Overview: The Closed Patrol Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment within the shopping center. Operating a company-provided vehicle, this officer conducts routine patrols of parking lots, walkways, and common areas, ensuring the protection of property, tenants, and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property using a company to deter and detect unauthorised activity, suspicious behaviour, or safety hazards.
- Monitor parking lots, building perimeters, and common areas to ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.
- Provide visible security presence and excellent customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors.
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, accidents, or emergencies; document and report all occurrences accurately.
- Communicate effectively with property management, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as needed.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports as required.
- Operate and maintain assigned golf cart and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and post orders.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Valid PPSB Unarmed Security license (preferred).
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military (preferred).
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor setting. Officer will have an inside post to maintain during harsh weather.
- Exposure to various weather conditions.
- Shift schedules include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
