Professional Security Officer - Luxury High-Rise  

   

Location: Columbus, OH - Downtown  

Pay Rate: $18.35 per hour  

   

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced and professional Security Officers to join the security team at a luxury high-rise building in Columbus. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of security experience working in high-rise buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, guests, and property, with a strong emphasis on customer service and proactive security measures.  

   

Open Shifts:

  • First Position Available (32 total hours): Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Second Position Available (28 total hours): Friday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Saturday 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Security Systems: Oversee all entry/exit points, CCTV surveillance, and alarm systems to ensure only authorized individuals access the building.
  • Conduct Regular Patrols: Perform periodic walkthroughs of the complex, including common areas, parking lots, and outdoor spaces.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing immediate support and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Enforce Community Rules: Uphold property rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all residents and guests.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact for residents, addressing security concerns and assisting with any needs.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Record incidents, unusual activity, and maintenance issues, preparing detailed reports for management.
  • Emergency Procedures: Assist in coordinating emergency evacuations and safety measures as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work with property management, other team members, and local law enforcement to enhance security.

   

Qualifications:

  • Previous Security Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-rise building or similar environment is required.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Must be able to interact professionally with residents and guests and document incidents clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify security risks and respond swiftly and effectively.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to stay composed and take decisive action in emergencies.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with security systems, CCTV, and access control systems is a plus.
  • Valid License: Must have or be able to obtain an OH guard card and any necessary security certifications or licenses.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required.
