Unarmed Security Officer  

Location: North East, PA 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12am-8am 

Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour  

Position Summary:

The Unarmed Security Officer plays a critical role in protecting company personnel, property, and assets. The officer will monitor entry points, patrol the premises, observe and report safety or security concerns, and ensure adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements. Successful candidates will have strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a customer-service-oriented mindset. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Control facility access by verifying employee, contractor, and visitor credentials in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate entry/exit logs.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other surveillance tools for irregular or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the property, including parking lots, production areas, and perimeter fencing.
• Observe and report any hazards, safety violations, or equipment malfunctions to site management or maintenance personnel.
• Provide escort services for visitors, vendors, and deliveries as needed.
• Assist with emergency responses such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or severe weather situations.
• Support safety initiatives, including ensuring compliance with PPE, restricted-area access, and incident reporting protocols.
• Prepare detailed written reports on daily activity, incidents, and observations.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
• Maintain a professional presence and serve as a resource for employees and guests.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in security or safety preferred.
• Prior experience in corporate, industrial, or manufacturing security strongly preferred.
• Must pass a background check.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to de-escalate situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• CPR, First Aid, or AED certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, industrial setting with 24-hour operations.
• Work may include exposure to loud noises, temperature variations, and vehicle traffic.
• Officers may be stationed at guard posts, vehicle gates, or within production support areas.
