United Protective Services is currently recruiting a Security Director for a large high-rise in Addison, TX, 75254 

  

Schedule 

Monday - Friday: 6 AM to 2 PM 

Other times, as needed. 

  

Pay 

$23.00 per hour 

  

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Within the terms of the prevailing Service Agreement and in accordance with established policies and standards, direct the Security and Safety Service Program, promote affirmative public relations and customer service standards, and protect the persons, property, and assets of the client.
  • Through active patrol, demonstrate a relevant proficiency in the physical, mechanical, communication, and emergency services of the premises
  • Act as liaison between UPS and local Client Management
  • Lead the professional development of the Security and Safety Services Team through effective retention and professional development programs.
  • Manage the administrative function and ensure the accurate and timely submission of Incident Reports, Daily Reports, Weekly Payroll, Personnel Actions, Continuing Education Training, Schedules, and all other essential paperwork.
  • Know all company Policies and Procedures outlined in UPS Post Orders, Rules and Regulations Handbook, and be able to communicate this knowledge to employees.
  • Maintain all company equipment in a proper manner and ensure all items are functioning and clean.
  • Maintain the company cell phone and email for 24-hour communication.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of employees and providing site-specific training and orientation
  • Create and Maintain Post Orders at the location.
  • Provide constructive criticism to employees as needed.
  • Create and maintain a filing system for all security-related paperwork.
  • Give initial counseling of employees for violations of company or site policies through documentation and proactive disciplinary action(s)
  • Report and investigate all employee-related accidents or injuries and maintain a proactive stance to ensure a safe work environment
  • Represent the site at staff meetings and represent UPS at site meetings.
  • Complete a daily report to be forwarded to the Branch Office
  • Active patrol and other duties as assigned by property-specific requirements.
  • Create and maintain an OJT Training Checklist.
  • Conduct internal investigations such as: company equipment damage, employee misconduct directed by UPS management office and document results within a short time period.

Desirable Background 

  • A combination of formal education, training, and skills generally acquired by an individual with solid, verifiable work experience, preferably in a Commercial, Mixed Use Facility, Retail Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, or Military environment, coupled with progressive managerial, supervisory, leadership, and/or public relations experience
  • A clear disciplinary record is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and subsequently maintain professional certifications as required.
  • Practical knowledge of law enforcement procedures, technical writing, civil law, criminal law, security procedures, investigative procedures, training programs, and personnel management
  • Physically mobile and in possession of senses to successfully perform the requirements of the position.
  • May be required to wear prescribed uniform or company equipment.
  • Excellent written and clear, efficient verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with the public effectively, tactfully and safely.
  • Experience managing a diverse team of professionals.
