SCOPE: This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Operations Department with leadership and management of all contracts, temporary Security and Event Operations in Southeast MI. The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for supporting and contributing to the company-wide business development initiatives and overall vision and goals of the Company. The Assistant Operations Manager will be assigned Clients which they will have direct oversight for. It is the goal of the company that this position will be eventually groomed into an Operations Manager position over time with positive performance, training opportunities, and mentorship. COMPENSATION:
- Rate of Pay: $19.00/hour

1st Shift Monday-Friday
Core Hours 8:30am to 5:00pm (0830-1700hrs)
*Shift times may vary to fit business needs; MUST have flexible availability*
40+ hours/week (full-time)
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weekly schedule will remain flexible as business needs dictate, however hours worked will be primarily during 1st shift (0830-1700) Monday-Friday.
- Will provide assistance to the Operations Managers with scheduling for all contract or temporary security assignments.
- Will provide assistance to the Operations Managers with overall management of temporary security assignments to include: assisting with initial set-up, conducting site visits, etc.
- Will be trained on companywide payroll processes and will complete payroll for assignments as determined.
- Will assist the Operations Department with conducting weekly afterhours site visits, delivering uniforms and equipment as necessary, and creating site visit reports.
- Will be trained as a Uniform Security Officer at multiple contract security locations in the Southeast Michigan region.
- Will be trained to provide back-up and fill-in for other Operations Managers as needed.
- Will manage security contracts as assigned.
- Will work in coordination with Recruiting Department to continue efforts to recruit and deploy the highest quality work force.
- Will participate in scheduled staff meetings and be prepared to brief on assignments and areas of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate authority within the scope of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Possessing an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Business Administrations is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- A minimum of 1-year prior experience as a security officer or supervisor in government or corporate service is highly desirable.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain with 90 days of hire, a Conceal Pistols License (CPL).
- Must adhere to our Appearance and Grooming policy
- Must present a friendly, positive, professional image to Clients, employees, supervisors, managers, and the general public.
- Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in use of computers/technology
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to various locations.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified (prior certification is preferred).
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Must have flexible availability and willingness to work on short notice.
