Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Johnstown, PA

Schedule:

• Tuesday: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Wednesday: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Pay: $16.25 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a large, continuously operating institutional location. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access points, and assisting in ensuring a safe and orderly environment during extended shifts.

This position requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, and the ability to interact calmly with staff, visitors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the assigned location
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols
• Observe, report, and document suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and service requests
• Provide assistance and direction to visitors as needed
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation
• Follow all company and client policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous security experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a healthcare, medical, or similar environment preferred
• Strong observation, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to remain alert and professional during 12-hour shifts
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to pass a background check
