Reporting to the Sanitation Manager. The sanitation worker will be performing cleaning/sanitizing duties while wearing personal protective equipment (water protection, gloves, and boots).
Job Duties:
- Sanitizing facility using high pressure washer hose
- Scrub and wipe machinery surfaces
- Apply chemicals and sanitizer to equipment
- Performs all duties on the daily and weekly maintenance lists.
- Supports all teams with cleaning projects.
- Safely and effectively clean a variety of surfaces.
- Clean up meat residues, debris, and other packaging materials from area being washed
Qualifications and Skills
- Food Plant Sanitation experience an asset
- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to physically perform the duties of the position
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and strive for quality work
- Ability to handle unpleasant tasks with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Shift timing – 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM (Graveyard shift)
This position requires working in a cold and wet environment during overnight (graveyard) hours.
