Summary:

The Unarmed Security Officer position requires the security officers to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Your robust presence, coupled with exceptional customer service skills, will not only enhance the overall environment but also foster a sense of trust and security among those you serve. 

In this position, Security is responsible for monitoring the activities of the residents in building as well as ensuring the safety of the residents and reporting all non-compliance situations that occur. Anything out of the ordinary should be reported. Any health or safety issues should be reported till rectified. Everyone should be held to the same standard and respect all the rules issued by the management team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper signage and logging of all visitors and contractors.
• Monitoring of the CCTV is a very intricate role of the security staff.
• Every officer must be physically able to conduct interior patrols of the location. The patrols should be conducted as directed in post orders.
• Building Patrols consist of walking all interior sections of the building and should be done at the request of the Staff or after an incident.
• Making sure that all exits doors are in working order and lock any doors that have been left unlocked. Document which doors were not locked and the time it was secured.
• Officers should walk through all hallway areas, staircases, and document anything noticed.
• Report all incidents and report to Management.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid and active NY Security License
• Must understand, Speak, and be able to write the English language
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and conflict management 
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally 
• Attention to detail and strong observation skills 
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment 
• Must have reliable transportation
