Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer

Location: Alsip, IL
Schedule: Part-Time — Weekends (2nd and 3rd Shifts)
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and highly trained Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to provide safety and security services at a commercial facility in the Alsip, IL area. This position is part-time and requires availability to work weekend 2nd and 3rd shifts. Officers must demonstrate excellent situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to safely operate a patrol vehicle.

The Mobile Patrol Officer will conduct vehicle patrols, monitor property activity, respond to incidents, and maintain detailed documentation. Strong communication skills and adherence to all state and company regulations are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols throughout designated areas using a company or approved vehicle
• Monitor property activity, identifying and reporting safety or security concerns
• Perform regular inspections of buildings, access points, and perimeter areas
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and security-related incidents
• Complete accurate and detailed DARs (Daily Activity Reports) and incident reports
• Maintain a visible security presence and provide professional customer service
• Enforce security policies and procedures per company and state guidelines
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, dispatch, and site personnel
• Safely operate a vehicle and comply with all traffic laws and company driving standards

Required Credentials & Qualifications

• Active Illinois PERC card
• Active Illinois FOID card
• 40-hour Armed Security Training Certificate (state-required)
• FCC (Firearm Control Card) — must be active
• Must own a duty-approved firearm and full gear
• Proven armed security experience (required)
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Ability to perform foot and mobile patrols, including in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in mobile patrol or vehicle-based security
• Experience completing DARs and incident reports
• Familiarity with two-way radio communication procedures
