Rover Security Officer

Location: South Side, Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Shifts available:

• 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Unarmed Security Rover Officer to join our team in South Side Chicago. As a security rover officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining safety and security at a key facility. You will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, monitoring the premises, and responding to incidents as needed to ensure a safe environment for all personnel and property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct mobile patrols of the facility, ensuring that all areas are secure and monitored.
• Respond to security incidents or alarms, following established protocols.
• Ensure that access points are secured and monitor any points of entry/exit.
• Monitor surveillance systems and communicate any unusual activities to security management.
• Complete daily reports of security activities, incidents, and any safety hazards observed.
• Provide a visible and professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a secure environment.
• Remain alert, responsive, and professional at all times while ensuring compliance with security procedures.

Requirements:

• Active IL PERC Guard Card: Must possess an active Illinois PERC (Private Security Contractor) guard card.
• TWIC Card: Must have a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card or be able to obtain one.
• Security Experience: Previous experience in security, preferably in rover, patrol, or mobile security roles.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, as driving is necessary during mobile patrols.
• 20-Hour Unarmed Security Training Certificate
• Background Check and Drug Test: Ability to clear a full background check and drug screening.
• MVR: Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

• Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, management, and external authorities when necessary.
• Professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently.

Work Environment:

This position is located on the South Side of Chicago and will require both stationary and mobile patrols. The environment can include varied weather conditions, so candidates should be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.
