Job Overview:
Prosegur Security is seeking a professional and customer service–focused Gate Security Officer for a premier client site in San Jose, CA. This position is stationed at a modern, fully equipped guard house and focuses exclusively on gate access control.
The Gate Officer’s primary responsibility is to visually verify employee badges for all incoming vehicles. For non-employees (vendors, visitors, contractors), the officer will collect and record identification details (driver’s license or ID), license plate number, company name, and destination.
Important:
No patrol duties are required.
The guard house is equipped with electricity, heating, air conditioning, a landline phone, and a drinking water cooler for comfort.
All PPE is provided, including safety vests and training.
Seating is allowed, but officers must stand and step completely outside the guard house to verify drivers when vehicles approach.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Visually verify employee badges for all incoming vehicles.
For vendors, visitors, or contractors, record identification details, license plate number, company name, and destination.
Maintain accurate logs of all entries and collected information.
Deliver excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors with professionalism and courtesy.
Follow established site and company procedures, complying with all client and company policies.
Respond promptly and calmly to any inquiries or client requests.
Consistently maintain a clean, professional appearance and grooming standards.

Qualifications:
Must have a valid California Security Guard License.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Exceptional customer service skills are absolutely required.
Minimum 1 year of security experience preferred.
Comfortable with access control systems and gate operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have reliable transportation.
