Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records, licensing information, employment history, and benefits data.
- Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and responding to HR-related inquiries.
- Scan, organize, and maintain electronic and physical employee files.
- Verify candidate compliance with required trainings and certifications, including Sexual Harassment training, CPR, and licensing verification.
- Conduct reference checks and coordinate background checks as needed.
- Schedule applicants for orientation and assist guards with the onboarding process.
- Confirm and complete all E-Verify cases in a timely manner.
- Transfer and review employee files in WinTeam, including assigning taxes, updating W-4 information, and assisting with direct deposit enrollment.
- Ensure personnel are properly registered on the company NYS roster.
- Verify ongoing certification, licensing, and compliance requirements for all personnel.
- Assist in internal HR audits to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide temporary coverage for vacant HR positions during scheduling conflicts, call-outs, or breaks.
- Support the Senior Leadership with any additional tasks as assigned.
Human Resources Clerk (HR Clerk) Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative role
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in the Security Industry is definitely preferred.
