Retail Security Officer (Evening Shift)

Location: West Side of Chicago

Job Type: Full-Time | Evening Shift (2nd shift)

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 6:00 PM–12:00 AM (Midnight)
Pay Rate: $16.60 per hour

We are seeking a professional and reliable Retail Security Officer to provide safety and support inside a busy retail environment. The ideal candidate has strong customer-service skills, remains calm under pressure, and is committed to maintaining a secure atmosphere for employees and patrons.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence inside the establishment.
• Monitor customer activity and identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Deter theft, disorderly behavior, and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents following established procedures.
• Document events, observations, and any security-related activity in timely reports.
• Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and management.

Required Qualifications

• Previous security experience required, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment.
• Active PERC card (Illinois).
• Valid 20-hour unarmed security training certificate.
• Strong situational awareness and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and professionalism.
