Job Summary

We are hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a union building, offering stable weekday hours, paid holidays, and competitive pay. This role requires strong communication and de-escalation skills, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and the public.

This is a highly visible position involving foot patrol, monitoring exterior and interior areas, and addressing unauthorized individuals to maintain safety and order.

Key Responsibilities

Report directly to the Site Supervisor

Conduct foot patrols of both interior and exterior areas

Address and remove homeless individuals or unauthorized persons from the property professionally and safely

Provide a consistent and visible security presence

Maintain accurate documentation and communicate incidents promptly

Perform duties in outdoor environments 50% of the shift, including heat, cold, rain, and snow

Assist staff, visitors, and tenants with inquiries and directions

Utilize strong communication and de-escalation skills to resolve conflicts

Stand and walk for extended periods while performing patrols
