Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Bedford Heights, OH
Schedule: Friday–Sunday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Position Type: Part-Time | Unarmed

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to support a grocery and perishable foods production and distribution environment. This position focuses on maintaining a secure facility, ensuring safe operations, and providing professional assistance to employees and authorized visitors. Candidates should have solid security experience and a proactive approach to safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility to ensure only authorized individuals enter
• Perform routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, checking for safety hazards, security risks, or irregularities
• Observe employee and visitor activity to ensure compliance with company guidelines
• Respond promptly to security concerns, alarms, and incidents
• Complete clear and accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Support emergency procedures and follow established security protocols
• Assist employees, drivers, and visitors in a professional, customer-service–oriented manner
• Maintain strong situational awareness at all times

Qualifications

• Previous security experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to remain alert, calm, and professional in an industrial/warehouse environment
• Able to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work the assigned Fri–Sun 2p–10p schedule
• Must meet any applicable Ohio security requirements or certifications
• High integrity and professionalism
