3rd Shift – Midnight – 8am EST
Job Location: Irving, TX or Peoria, IL
This is an embedded role within a major client’s organization. This role will be responsible for assisting in the client’s effort to defend against data loss by triaging suspected data loss events and working with client’s business leaders throughout the globe.
Responsibilities
• Participate as part of a team of cybersecurity experts to identify and respond to data loss events which are aggregated from a large, globally diverse computing infrastructure by performing triage of anomalous cybersecurity events collected from user activity monitoring tools.
• Provide expert-level research and analysis to efficiently detect data loss events throughout a globally diverse and complex organizational structure.
• Contributes to the prioritization of all suspected data loss events and the analysis needed to improve event fidelity and response efficiency.
• Provides advice, guidance, and direction to business unit leadership to ensure confirmed data loss events are handled appropriately and in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and processes.
• Communicates useability needs to cybersecurity analysts that will continually enhance the effectiveness of their ability to detect and respond to data loss events.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 7 years of cybersecurity, counterintelligence, law enforcement, information technology, intelligence analysis, and/or incident response experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required.
• Ability to follow prescribed response processes.
• Ability to efficiently communicate relevant cybersecurity and incident details to senior business leaders in an objective, easy to understand manner.
• Ability to identify new data loss scenarios so they can be accounted for within the detection system.
• Ability to identify detection and response process improvements and communicate them to cybersecurity leadership and analysts.
• Well organized and exhibits the ability to simultaneously manage multiple data loss incidents in a timely manner.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Office, and SharePoint applications.
• Consistently demonstrates good interpersonal skills – using tact, diplomacy, patience, and courtesy.
• Flexibility to work with our 1st shift teams while primarily working independently during 3rd shift
