Summary: Security Officers perform essential functions to protect property, people and information from loss, damage, or unauthorized use. Although emergencies are infrequent in many cases, the single most important reason for having a security officer is to effectively handle an emergency. The Officer presents a visible deterrent to unauthorized conduct while moving throughout the property.
Essential Functions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Document briefing topics and keep records and logs as required.
- Maintain and submit Daily Activity Reports (DAR), Incident/Accident Reports, and Hazard/Condition Reports.
- Able to interpret, write, understand, and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions as needed.
- Monitors and actively patrols building and client property.
- Provide information as necessary to clients, customers, visitors, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain consistent performance, attendance, uniform appearance, and professional interaction while on duty.
- Provides security presence and visibility throughout the client’s property.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must have an active/valid Guard Card.
- Must be at least 18 years old. High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
