We’re hiring reliable, experienced, Part-Time Armed Security Officers! The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.
Shifts include: 2200-0600, 0600-1400, & 1400-2200 | On-Call Availability Preferred
Hourly starting wage: $22.50/hour.

Responsibilities:
• Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post
• Give the alarm and assist in response to a fire or the emergency
• Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle
• Enforce company and client policies
• Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Supervisor and Account Manager
• Respond to incidents
• Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post
• One will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life
• Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence
• Officers will remain on the post and wait until they have a face-to-face relief
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
Qualifications:
• Must possess valid Maryland Security Guard Certification
• Must possess valid Maryland Handgun Permit (HGP)
• Must have valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record
• Must have valid First Aid/CPR Certification or be willing to obtain one immediately
• Must possess proof of firearms training and safety from certified instructor
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods
• Must be able to pass a driving skills test and Physical Ability Assessment
• Possess basic computer skills and communication skills
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 18 years old or older
