What do Compliance Officers do?
You will use your technical knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal abilities and knowledge of screening regulations and protocols to audit and assess compliance. You will:
- Conduct audits on Screening functions at Pre-Board Screening (PBS), Hold Baggage Screening (HBS), Non-Passenger Screening Terminal (NPST), and Non-Passenger Screening Vehicles (NPSV) checkpoints
- Conduct audits on documentation relating to Screening Operations at PBS, HBS, and NPST/V checkpoints
- Identify non-compliance issues and address deficiencies at the time of discovery; escalate training issues to the Training Department and performance issues to the Operations Department
- Perform audit functions, ensuring alignment with the area of focus and frequency
- Audit compliance with third-party platforms
- Audits will include physical inspections, but also electronic investigations into document safeguarding and record keeping
- Remain current with regulations, and any changes in aviation security screening protocols
- Program and creating Compliance Codes in Paladin's Employee Resource Management Software, and client software
- Create documentation and manage processes where a high degree of compliance is required
- Actively performance manage screening officers
What you bring to PASS:
- Ability to acquire Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and eligibility for Federal Security Clearance
- Clear criminal background
- You have certification in Airport Operations, Business Administration or another related field (considered an asset)
- Previous experience as a Screening Contractor Training Representative (SCTR) would be considered an asset
- Extensive knowledge of screening protocols, policies, and standards
- You have fluency in English, verbal and written (French considered an asset)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Work collaboratively with other Compliance Officers
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail
- Flexibility to travel to various Regional Airports within the designated region as required
