SITE HIGHLIGHT: Posted in a Guard House (climate controlled) at a West Michigan power generating complex. Some of the responsibilities include CCTV monitoring, gate access control, electronic log documentation, and foot/vehicle patrol. Uniformed Security Officers at this site are responsible for the safety and security of our client's property, personnel, and visitors. Officer's will be following and enforcing all site-specific policies and procedures, as well as implementing emergency response activities as appropriate and providing world class customer service.
SCHEDULE:
Mid shift
- 2nd shift
- 1300-2300hrs
- Weekend availability required
- Part Time Security Officer (0-29 hours guaranteed)
COMPENSATION:
- Rate of Pay: $16.32/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must provide excellent customer service.
- Guard posts – this may include building lobbies, guard shacks, etc.
- Conduct hourly foot and vehicle patrols of interior and exterior.
- Monitor surroundings on closed-circuit television.
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
- Check for employee and vendor identifications.
- Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities.
- May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations.
- Must follow site specific post guidelines.
- Document daily activities and incident reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
