Security Maintenance Technician - Greensburg, IN
$19-28/hr depending on skill and job experience

Genric is looking for a motivated candidate who demonstrates initiative, providing high levels of client service and support. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, client focused, and have excellent communication skills. Genric is seeking an organized and driven individual.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: High School education or equivalent required. An associate's or bachelor's degree in an electronics or engineering field preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1-year security systems technician experience or 3 years' experience in a related field.
- Requires a strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills, working knowledge of field electronics.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and data networks are beneficial to the job but not required.
- Ability to work independently.
- Running, stripping, and terminating cables.
- AC and DC voltage knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Experience with LENEL OnGuard, Milestone VMS and AutoCAD software beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ease with both telephone and in-person contacts.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a valid driver's license. Travel between the local client facilities is required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain the access control and video systems. Including card readers, electronic door hardware, cameras, panic devices, gate hardware, intercom/phone devices, etc.
- Act as a representative of the client when dealing with outside contractors on security device installations and repairs.
- Assemble and program new security panels and equipment to ensure proper functionality and operation.
- Service and trouble shoot systems based on approved guidelines and standards.
- Read and follow installation prints and diagrams.
- Respond to trouble and occasional emergency after-hours calls.
- Mounting and terminating field devices (i.e. Card Readers, Door Hardware, Cameras) as required.
- Maintains records by documenting installation and maintenance activity.
- Maintains customer rapport by resolving concerns, answering questions.
- Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices, keeping security information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and varied requests.
