**Must Have Valid Driver's License & Reliable Transportation**

SCOPE: Security Flex Officers are responsible for protecting the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, fires and natural disasters, as well as providing outstanding customer service. Flex Officers must be available to travel, locally, to different site locations on an ON-CALL basis to fill-in, as-needed at different client sites in the West MI and Southwest Region of Michigan.

CURRENT OPENINGS:

• Third Shift - Must be available 11 PM - 8 AM Sunday - Saturday
• Specific Days/Shift Will Vary
• Part Time (0-29 hours per week) 

Flexibility and availability to work other sites could allow an ACA Full-Time (30-39 hours / week) status

LOCATION: West MI and Southwest MI areas (most sites are located in the Grand Rapids Metro Area)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. Officers will conduct foot and vehicle patrols dependent on the site location.  Additional responsibilities may include:

• Customer Relations - Sites are highly reliant on customer relations with clients and visitors on site.
• Access Control - Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access to the site.
• Camera Monitoring - Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns.
• Foot Patrol - Walk the interior and exterior of the various buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
• Mobile Patrol - Patrol parking lots, roads, building exteriors and remote locations in a security vehicle.
• Monitor Fire Alarms - Ensure fire alarms are working accurately

SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:

• Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
• Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
• Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
• Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must be willing to become CPR/1^st Aide/AED Certified
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
• No other major violations in the last 3 years.
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
