Responsibilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Greeting everyone and being the first point-of-contact for customers, tenants, vendors, visitors and staff.
  • Assist with creating a positive experience and provide support for anyone coming on the Clients property.
  • Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Client to create a safe and positive environment.
  • Conduct security and safety briefings at the beginning and the end of the shift.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times with any site or company information.
  • Document briefing topics and keep records and logs as required.
  • Maintain and submit Daily Activity Reports (DAR), Incident/Accident Reports, and Hazard/Condition Reports.
  • Able to interpret, write, understand, and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions as needed
  • Ensures that all necessary equipment needed to perform all the required tasks is accounted for and in good working order.
  • De-escalate and help resolve conflicts and promote positive solutions.
  • Answers multi-line phones systems, monitors radio transmissions, dispatches via two-way radio emergency and routine assignments to security officers, engineering and maintenance staff as needed
  • Responds accordingly to routine and emergency requests.
  • Monitors and actively patrols building and client property.
  • Provide information as necessary to tenants, clients, visitors, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
  • Walk the property looking for any security or safety hazards. Notify the appropriate staff.
  • Contact the proper authorities to address health and safety issues, including the police, fire, and medical departments as well as the Security Manager.
  • Complete a written incident report and notify the client and Security Manager of all incidents.
  • Look for any signs of vandalism or property damage and notify the appropriate groups (Client, Maintenance, Building Engineer and Marina Security Management).
  • Assist with fire drills, audit preparation, and emergency evacuation plans.
  • Maintain daily log of all activities during shift.
  • Continued training requirements (ongoing training)
  • Review pass down logs for all changes, concerns, and/or problems from the prior shift.
  • Answer and route all incoming calls/requests.
  • Conduct hourly security rounds of the buildings, including securing doors, windows, locks, gates, etc.
  • Attend required scheduled trainings and meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must have a active current/valid Guard Card.
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old. High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak clearly, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in emergencies
  • Able to interpret, write, understand, and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions as needed
  • Capable of working both independently and effectively in a team setting
  • The ability to effectively interface with all company departments and act professionally in a highly dignified manner.
  • The ability to stand in one area for extended durations between required breaks.
  • The ability to pick up, carry, and move a package/object/equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and takes initiative.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
