All officers hired must:
-Be at least 21 years of age -FULLY VACCINATED FOR COVID-19
-Be certified in the State of Illinois as evidenced by providing a copy of their 20 and/or 40 hour training certificate by a State of Illinois certified training facility
-Provide a valid State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
-Possess a High School Diploma or GED
-Undergo a complete criminal background check
-Successfully pass a comprehensive Panel I through IV drug test
-Possess a valid Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOID), if applicable
-Pass a State of Illinois and Federal fingerprint background screening test
-Qualify for an Agency Firearm Authorization Card (FAC), if applying for an Armed position
