Securemedy, Incorporated is currently hiring for experienced VA Aviation Security Inspectors to provide security inspectios support the aviation program in Dulles, Va.

Under the guidance and direction of the Program Manager, the VA Aviation Security Inspector will maintain a command physical presence to deter threats in and around the facility. Follow post orders as prescribed and enforce the policy and safety procedures set forth. The VA Aviation Security Inspector will be required to:

• Observe and report all anomalies found during the tour of duty
• Performed physical search of individuals and their personal property including but not limited to the use of hand-held metal detectors, physical pat-downs, stadium style bag searches, and other search methods approved by the Airport Security Manager or his Designee in accordance with the Aviation Worker Inspection Program.
• Other Duties may additionally include but are not limited to facility inspections, documentation, and emergency response

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Must possess a current VA DCJS Security Guard Registration
• US Citizenship or legal residency
• High School Diploma / GED or higher
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be poised and able to function effectively within high volume, high traffic environment
• Must have at least 6 months experience using a magnetometer
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass physical exam and drug screening
• Ability to walk / stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to read, write and communicate fluently
• Must possess a Current Valid Photo ID or Drivers License
• Must possess reliable means of transportation
• Must possess a working and reliable telephone number
• Must we able and willing to provide verifiable employment references

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior training and/or experience in security industry.
