Security Officers are responsible for the protection of life and property, detection and prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals, and enforcement of laws and ordinances. Armed Security Guard
Armed Guard Private Security, Inc. is actively seeking Armed Security Guards for a day shift position. Assignment will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 0730 - 1800. All candidates must have a current BSIS Security Guard Card and a current BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit or application pending for Firearm Permit, with all required training certificates. All candidates must be willing to obtain at least two less than lethal weapons certifications and acquire said weapons within 60 days of hire. All candidates will receive a $750.00 hiring bonus, if not participating in Weapons Sponsorship program to obtain weapons certifications.
Wage Scale: $17.54 - $19.16 per hour
Wage scale is dependent upon training and licensure/certifications:
BSIS Firearm Permit
BSIS Baton Permit
BSIS Taser Certification
BSIS Chemical Agent Certification
American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certification
Required:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old
Must have H.S. Diploma/GED
Must be legally authroized to work in the United States
Must have valid Driver's License or state issued I.D.
Must have reliable transportation
Must pass a reference check; drug test, including TCH
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for majority of assigned shifts.
Must be able to physically control hostile subjects, including restraining in handcuffs, if/when required.
Must be able to lift objects up to 25 lbs. in a safe manner on occasion.
Must be able to safely retain any weapons on person against potential assailants who may try to take them from the guard.
