About the Role

As a Security Officer with Prosegur, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position is responsible for monitoring assigned locations, conducting security patrols, controlling access, and responding to incidents while providing professional customer service.

Security Officers serve as a visible presence on-site, helping prevent unauthorized activity, identify potential safety concerns, and ensure compliance with established security procedures and client requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential to success in this role.

In This Role, You Will

• Monitor assigned locations to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
• Conduct routine patrols to identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, and potential security concerns.
• Control access to facilities by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and enforcing visitor procedures.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
• Observe, document, and report incidents, unusual activity, and safety concerns through accurate written reports.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarm panels, and other security equipment as assigned.
• Enforce site-specific security procedures, post orders, and client policies.
• Assist employees, visitors, and clients by providing directions, information, and professional customer service.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, emergency responders, and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Follow established emergency response procedures, including evacuation and incident escalation protocols.
• Complete required training and maintain applicable security licenses and certifications.

Experience & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess and maintain all required state-issued security officer licenses, registrations, or certifications, as applicable.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic security procedures, emergency response protocols, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
• Strong communication, observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic reports and documentation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work independently and follow established security procedures and instructions.
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to successfully complete applicable background screening and other employment requirements.
