Post Commander – Luxury Residential Security | DTLA

$21–$23/hour | Full-Time | Leadership + Customer Service

Guard-Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Post Commander for a luxury residential property in Downtown Los Angeles.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead a security team while delivering the level of customer service expected in a luxury residential environment.

This is not a position for someone who wants to sit behind a desk and simply manage a schedule. The right person will be visible, approachable, organized, and engaged. You will be supporting officers, communicating with property management, interacting professionally with residents and guests, and making sure the team is operating at a high standard.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support the security team during your shift
• Maintain a professional, welcoming security presence
• Build positive relationships with residents, guests, vendors, and property staff
• Ensure officers are following post orders and property procedures
• Conduct patrols and remain actively involved in daily operations
• Assist with access control, incidents, CCTV review, and resident concerns
• Complete and review accurate security reports
• Communicate important issues and follow-up items to management
• Coach officers on customer service, professionalism, and performance
• Help keep the team organized, informed, and working together

What We’re Looking For

• Active California Guard Card required
• 3 plus years of Previous security leadership or Post Commander experience
• Luxury residential, high-rise, hospitality, or similar customer-facing experience strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Comfortable using computers, email, reports, and security systems
• Reliable, dependable, and able to take ownership of the post

Pay & Benefits

$21.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
