KR Contracting, Inc. is accepting applications for an experienced Unarmed Security Supervisor to supervise our security guard force in Roswell, NM.

This position primarily works 1st Shift, including weekends. Schedule flexibility is required based on operational and contract needs. Alternate shifts, holidays, or additional hours may occasionally be required. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable law.

Security Supervisors perform duties in accordance with applicable Post Orders, the Performance Work Statement, company policies, and client requirements, including:

  • Supervise, direct, coach, and support security personnel; conduct shift briefings and communicate operational or security updates.
  • Ensure posts are properly staffed and personnel are uniformed, equipped, trained, credentialed, and compliant with applicable requirements.
  • Conduct post inspections and monitor employee performance, attendance, schedules, call-offs, timekeeping, overtime, training, and credentials.
  • Address staffing deficiencies and identify qualified replacements. Provide open-post coverage when necessary, provided all required qualifications, training, and credentials are held.
  • Maintain accountability for uniforms, equipment, company/client property, and required operational and personnel documentation.
  • Provide professional customer service and address concerns with employees, clients, airport personnel, and management.
  • Document and report security incidents, safety concerns, access-control violations, unusual occurrences, and violations of company policies or Post Orders; recommend corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Comply with New Mexico licensing, airport security, client, company, vehicle-operation, and other applicable requirements.
  • Perform required administrative duties, deliveries, and vehicle operation; maintain site office cleanliness and regular attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on operational and contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, military security, aviation security, or comparable protective services.
  • Current New Mexico Level One Security Guard Registration required.
  • Valid driver's license required. Must meet KR Contracting driving eligibility requirements and maintain an acceptable driving record when vehicle operation is required.
  • Must satisfy applicable background, criminal-history, licensing, registration, and security eligibility requirements of New Mexico, TSA, airport authority, client, and KR Contracting.
  • Must complete and maintain eligibility under required airport screening, including fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA), as applicable.
  • Must obtain and maintain required airport identification, access credentials, and security clearances, including a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • Must communicate effectively in English and read, understand, interpret, and apply Post Orders, policies, procedures, rules, and directions.
  • Effective leadership, communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, coaching, and supervisory skills required.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, scheduling, timekeeping, and electronic reporting systems.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and follow notification/escalation procedures.
  • Ability to perform essential physical functions, including prolonged standing, walking, and climbing stairs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must work assigned schedules and maintain flexibility for operational and contract coverage.

License/Registration Requirements

  • New Mexico Level One Security Guard Registration (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)

Airport Security Requirements

Employment requires obtaining and maintaining necessary airport identification, security credentials, access privileges, and clearances. This may include a fingerprint-based CHRC, STA, and other airport/TSA screening and credentialing. Failure to maintain mandatory qualifications may affect continued eligibility for the position.
