Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Full profit & loss responsibility for the ODP Department.
  • Collaborate with recruitment resources to ensure effective roster management for existing, upcoming, and special project accounts.
  • Ability to provide detailed cost breakdowns and pricing for new and existing accounts.
  • Develop operational plans for clients, including intelligence gathering, patrol strategies, and technology integration.
  • Implement effective scheduling strategies and oversight to ensure client shifts are filled and contingency plans are in place.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and client visits for field oversight.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service through regular contact with clients; evaluate service quality and initiate corrective action as necessary.
  • Analyze operational and financial indicators to continuously improve P4 performance; ensure profitable operations with full profit and loss accountability.
  • Guide and support ODP Managers/Supervisors in maintaining a consistent focus on high-quality customer service and profitable business retention; review office audits and direct the development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Coach and develop ODP Managers/Supervisors, ensuring they have well-qualified individuals who are properly trained to carry out the company’s mission.
  • Direct the implementation of best demonstrated industry and company practices.
  • Assist in business plan and budget development; monitor progress against short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Evaluate industry and business trends for potential impact and growth opportunities.
  • Provide direction to staff on business development priorities and key sales actions; assist clients in understanding the full range of company products and services; negotiate client contracts.
  • Maintain a positive professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; ensure staff members understand and comply with these standards.
  • Authorize appropriate expenditures, including equipment, supplies, advertising, and vehicles.
  • Implement and provide input to P4 Executives on initiatives; promptly and effectively resolve legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.
  • Work with ODP Managers/Supervisors to ensure that accounts receivable goals and expectations are met.Perform additional functions, duties, and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 10 or more years of experience in law enforcement with 5 or more years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience within the security industry, business management, and security supervision.
  • Experience developing operational plans on a project basis ranging from small to large deployments.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation is desirable.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Law enforcement background as highlighted in the previous section.
  • In-depth knowledge of security operations.
  • Success in business development, administration, and human resources management.
  • Skill in performing financial analysis and promoting legal and ethical practices.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and spreadsheet software.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to synthesize business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Strong customer service and service delivery orientation.
